Spring has arrived and so has the time to start trail riding. Our first trail ride of the year will be on Sunday April 10 at 10:00 AM (weather permitting). We are going to start out with a trail close in to town at Hidden Mesa Open Space. The main trailhead parking lot is on the west side of Highway 83 (Parker Rd.), 1 mile north of Franktown. Hidden Mesa 6.8 mile, moderate trail with an optional water crossing. There are a lot of rocks up on the Mesa, so shoes or hoof boots are highly recommended.
We will meet in the parking lot at 10 AM for a brief trail ride meeting. Please watch for a Facebook announcement to sign up for the ride or email the trail boss at email@example.com so we know how many riders to expect. Also, returning this year is the PTR 20 mile trail ride award where you can qualify for a year end buckle at cost by trail riding at least 20 miles with PTR. So get the shedding blades out and join us for our first event of the season! You do not need to be a member to ride but nonmember fee is $5.
This ride qualifies for miles toward the “20 Miler” trail buckle for 2021!
